Summit County, Colorado

Keystone, Colorado

A family-oriented ski resort with slopeside villages, lessons, rentals, and an easy route from Dillon.

Why stay in Keystone

Keystone is easiest when the resort is the center of the trip. River Run gathers the gondola, rentals, restaurants, and a pedestrian village in one place. Mountain House may be more convenient for certain lessons and lifts. Beyond the resort, the area feels quieter and more spread out than a full town.

River Run or Mountain House

River Run has the most complete village and the clearest walk-to-the-gondola routine. Mountain House can shorten the morning for some ski-school and lift plans. Properties elsewhere along US 6 may rely on a shuttle or car.

Family ski days are the strength

Picking up rentals before the first morning and staying near the correct lesson meeting point can make a major difference. Dillon and Silverthorne are close enough for an occasional dinner away from the resort, but not every night needs another drive.
