Frisco pairs a walkable Main Street with central access to the county. Restaurants, shops, and most lodging sit close to downtown; the marina opens onto Dillon Reservoir; and I-70 is nearby. Every ski day begins with a drive or bus ride.
Main Street or the highway
Lodging near Main Street makes dinner and an evening walk easy. Hotels closer to I-70 shorten the drive toward Copper and the eastern side of the county. Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin are all reachable, but none is a doorstep ski morning.
A good day from Frisco
Ski one mountain and return for dinner on Main Street. In summer, combine the marina or recreation path with time in town. Trying to fit the reservoir, a high trail, and a distant resort event into the same day usually adds more driving than enjoyment.
